Welding Training

Structural and Weld Testing Services Ltd are able to arrange welding training in all of the common welding processes.

The welding trainers used by Structural and Weld Testing Services Ltd are self employed, with many years of experience in workshop and site welding environments, and will able to demonstrate and provide guidance on the skills required to achieve a welding test standard of workmanship.

The use of a self employed welder allows Structural and Weld Testing Services Ltd to demonstrate an independence and impartiality between welder training and qualifications.

Therefore welder training arranged through us does not have any bearing on the result of any welder tests subsequently taken.

Once a welder is happy that they have achieved the required level of skills necessary to take a test, then this will be arranged, witnessed and tested impartially by our inspectors.

Training is available at our premises, in the following welding processes:

- Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
- Metal Active Gas (MAG - often referred to as MIG)
- Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
- Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

Training may be available at your premises on enquiry.

If you are unsure of the type of training you may require, then please do not hesitate to contact us as one of our Welding Engineers will be happy to assist with your enquiry.
